Lean manufacturing or lean production, is a systematic method for waste minimization within a manufacturing system without sacrificing productivity. Lean also takes into account waste created through overburden and waste created through unevenness in work loads. Lean manufacturing makes obvious what adds value, by reducing everything else (which is not adding value).
At this Manufacturing Committee Meeting, we will be discussing ways to implementing "Lean" systems into daily manufacturing operations.
