Mentor the Future: NYC Industry Scholars Program

Does your business need an extra pair of hands? Do you like to mentor? If so, then consider hosting a NYC high school student from the NYC Industry Scholars Program​ (ISP). It's a great way to invest in the next generation of NYC talent, and It's no charge to you!

Launched in 2016 , ISP is part of NYC Public School's Career-Connected Learning initiative. Grant Associates administers the Industry Scholars Program, a year-round internship program. ISP places NYC high school junior and seniors (ages 16-18) in a variety of meaningful internships to advance their post-secondary education and foster their career aspirations though valuable work-based learning activities.

As you can imagine, the internships are life changing as over 70% of NYCPS students are economically disadvantaged. NYCPS pays the students $16/hour at no cost to you and the students work on-site after school covered by self-insurance.

We are looking for partners who need IT help for our Fall 2024, eight-week cohort, November-December 2024. Students can perform simple database work to more technically advanced projects.
