Marci McCall brings over two decades of talent and experience in both private and nonprofit business development and community outreach to her position as Director of New York City Outreach for the New York State of Health, External Affairs, Outreach & Marketing division. Prior to joining the NYS of Health, Ms. McCall worked for EmblemHealth where she focused on community outreach working to educate the New York City Community on health insurance and access to quality care. During her ten year at EmblemHealth, she was also the manager of new business development for the Sales and Marketing team. Marci coordinates community and business outreach initiatives. Frequently traveling within metropolitan area, to help New Yorker’s and small business owners make educated decisions when purchasing and managing health care plans.
As a Director of the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce Not for Profit board, Marci is the Co-Chair of Harlem Healthy Eating Healthy Living committee which started the Urban Health Conference which address health issues and solutions, the Percy E Sutton 5K Run and Family Health Walk a New York Road Runner Marathon qualifier Which grew from 168 runners/Walkers to 7000 runners and walkers. She has been a featured speaker on women’s health issues throughout New York City.
Marci is committed to ensuring that all New Yorkers are educated about the health care system and aware of their options in obtaining access to quality, affordable health care.
Marci holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Skidmore College.
Jennifer Jackson currently serves as the Supervisory Economic Development Specialist for the New York District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). In this capacity, Jennifer is responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with small business stakeholders with federal, state, regional and local government organizations, chambers of commerce, trade and educational institutions as well as civic and community organizations. Brenda is an IRS veteran with 37 years of experience. During her tenure with the IRS she has worked in Personnel, Criminal Investigation, Enforcement, Manager in the Brooklyn office, Taxpayer Service Walk-In unit. Brenda currently works as a Senior Stakeholder Liaison in the Small Business/Self Employed operating business unit. As a Senior Liaison she is responsible for establishing and maintaining stakeholder and communications plans and customized leverage liaison events with practitioners, government agencies, trades and industrial organizations, and other small business organizations. The purpose of the leverage events is to deliver key messages and educate customers segments of methods to improve taxpayer service, enhance enforcement of the tax law and reduce the taxpayer burden.
Stana Nakhle is a Regional Director for the Small Business Marketplace of the New York State of Health (NYSoH). Ms. Nakhle oversees the New York Metropolitan Region working with small businesses and health insurance brokers as they navigate the new health insurance options available through the NYSoH.
Ms. Nakhle has a wide range of experience with government and private health insurance, having previously held position of the Director of Private Health Insurance Initiatives at the New York City Human Resources Administration's Office of Citywide Health Insurance Access (OCHIA), where she oversaw OCHIA’s efforts to promote more affordable health insurance coverage for small businesses and working individuals.
Born and raised in Slovakia, Ms. Nakhle worked and traveled broadly before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from the University of Bridgeport and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. Ms. Nakhle received recognition as a member of the development team for NYC HI Link through receipt of the NYC Excellence in Technology Award for Best Application Serving the Public in 2009.
Neil Gilberg has significant experience in the private sector. Mr. Gilberg comes from the hospitality industry, where he spent 20 years running a major Catskills resort, managing 300 employees and a multi-million dollar budget. He also has background in government service as the former Sullivan County Clerk; as a member of the Fallsburg Town Council; and as a trustee of the Fallsburg Central School District. Mr. Gilberg is also on the Board of Directors for C.A.S.A (Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children).
Mr. Gilberg was subsequently appointed by the Governor to serve as the Business Ambassador/Advocate for Business for the NYS Workers' Compensation Board. In this capacity, Mr. Gilberg addresses employers' concerns regarding the workers' compensation system in New York State and develops policies to address those concerns.
