Susan H. Lee, MD FACS, FACOG is a Board Certified, Breast Fellowship-trained breast surgeon.
Dr. Lee received her Bachelor of Science degree and Medical Degree from the University of Illinois. She trained in General Surgery for 2 years and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. She then completed a Fellowship in Breast Disease/Surgery at the Brown University School of Medicine/Women and Infants Hospital. Dr Lee is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a fellow of both The American College of Surgeons and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was an Assistant Professor of Surgery in Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University while she was a breast surgeon at New York Hospital Presbyterian Queens for 10 years. She was Assistant Director of Breast Health and practiced at NYU Winthrop for 4 years.
Dr. Lee is a member of numerous organizations and committees involved in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. These include the Society of Surgical Oncology and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She is the NY State Chair for the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, Cancer Liaison. Dr. Lee was also the first female Chapter President of the Brooklyn/Long Island Chapter of the American College of Surgeons and is on the Board of Governors of the American College of Surgeons. She has been involved in several clinical research projects, published numerous articles, and spoken widely on the subject of breast disease. She was also one of the honorees in 2016 for the Long Island Chapter of Girls Inc.
Dr. Lee joined Northwell in December 2017. She is the Division Chief of Breast Surgery at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills and also sees patients and operates at Northwell Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead.
