Andrew Chung founded Innovo Property Group (“IPG”) in 2015. Prior to starting IPG, Andrew Chung was a Partner at The Carlyle Group in the U.S. Real Estate Fund. He served as head of the New York office for the Real Estate Fund for 10 years. Mr. Chung is currently a member of the Advisory Board for NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate. He was also honored by ranking in the New York Observer’s “Power 100: The Most Powerful People in NY Real Estate” in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Mr. Chung graduated from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, with a B.S. in Economics.
Karen Imas is the Waterfront Alliance’s Senior Director of Programs overseeing programming, advocacy, and outreach to advance and build consensus around waterfront issues. She brings significant experience crafting public affairs strategies in the nonprofit, private, and public sectors. Previously Karen was managing director at Connelly McLaughlin & Woloz, a New York City-based government relations firm, where she led political advocacy and communications campaigns for a wide range of clients across industry sectors. Karen served as a public affairs officer at the Consulate General of Canada in New York where she was a liaison to New York City and New York State on bilateral political and economic issues.
Karen also served as the director of communications and leadership training at the Council of State Governments Eastern Regional Conference, a forum that fosters exchange of best practices among state governments. Karen was recognized as one of the “40 Under 40 New York City Rising Stars” by City & State Magazine. She is active in civic life in her hometown of Forest Hills, Queens. Karen received a Bachelor of Science in journalism from Boston University and completed her Masters degree in international relations at Columbia University.
Stephen R. Preuss is a Vice Chairman in the Capital Markets Group of Cushman & Wakefield, where he focuses on investment sales for the New York Metropolitan Area primarily in Queens. Team Preuss is made of six associates working under Stephen. Each associate is an expert in the Queens market and facilitates a full-service approach to their clients Previously, Stephen was Vice President of Sales at Massey Knakal Realty Services. Cushman & Wakefield acquired Massey Knakal on December 31, 2014.
Stephen has transacted in nearly $3 billion of investment and commercial real estate over his 16 year career. During his tenure, he has sold over 350 properties to date and currently has over $800,000,000 in exclusive listings, the largest commercial inventory in Queens. Stephen is the #1 top producer in Queens and Top 100 Nationwide for Investment Sales and Capital Markets. He is a major contributor to multiple major publications including The Real Deal, The New York Real Estate Journal, Crain's, Qns.com, Commercial Observer, Real Estate Weekly, and several other regional and national publications. Stephen is a board member of the Queens Community House, and a major contributor of several other not-for-profit organizations including the, Long Island City Partnership, Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce, Chinese Business Association, and the Chinese American Planning Council.
Michael Co-Chairs our Real Estate Committee. In a very short period of time he has gained expertise in numerous facets of real estate. Michael Wang is a native New Yorker. He was raised in Flushing and attended school in Downtown Manhattan.
He is a Partner of Politan Real Estate. Politan is a boutique commercial real estate brokerage with offices in Flushing Queens and Great Neck Long Island. We have been using a team based approach since we opened in 2014, and pride ourselves in our detail oriented and results based approach.
Michael is also on the Board of Directors for The Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce. He is also the Co-Chair of the Queens Chamber of Commerce Real Estate Committee. He spends time each week connecting with community leaders and is an active participate of various programs throughout the year.
