Lorraine Chambers Lewis Executive Director of LIJ Forest Hills Hospital Lorraine Chambers Lewis, is the recently appointed executive director of Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital. She will be leading Northwell Health’s most diverse hospital and proving healthcare services for the community of Queens. A physician assistant (PA) for twenty-eight years, Ms. Chambers Lewis has worked in emergency medicine, critical care, internal medicine and occupational health. She began her career at Queens Hospital Center and came to Northwell, then North Shore-LIJ Health System, in 2002 as a supervising PA for Long Island Jewish Medical Center’s emergency department. After transitioning to occupational health in 2007, she took on positions of increasing responsibility as the function grew during a time of rapid expansion for Northwell. In addition to launching Northwell’s first injury management and prevention program for worker safety, she also launched an occupational health business model for direct to employer clients including an onsite health and wellness clinic at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Under Lorraine’s leadership, the department rapidly developed and launched COVID-19 testing programs for team members and their families and an employee vaccination program that has immunized tens of thousands team members to date. A graduate of The CUNY School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program, Lorraine received her MBA from Hofstra University and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. For the last four years, she has also served as president of the New York Chapter of the Association of Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare
Michelle Watson Business Recovery Specialist at Queens Chamber of commerce Michelle Watson is the Business Recovery Technical Specialist working with the Queens Chamber of Commerce. Michelle grew up in Staten Island, before moving out to Brooklyn and finally over to Queens. After getting her start working in food service, Michelle decided to pursue a career in restaurant management, and had been running various restaurants around NYC for about 8 years. Once the pandemic struck, she pivoted to starting her own virtual assistant business, helping restaurants and food service businesses with any tasks that could be performed remotely. She is now the resident technical specialist at the Chamber, assisting businesses in both Queens and Brooklyn with their digital and technology-related needs.
