SOAR Experiential Learning Program

During the Fall 2022 semester, LaGuardia Community College launched the SOAR Experiential Learning Program. This will continue through the Spring 2023 semester. The SOAR Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship program that mobilizes students to work and gain experience in their field of study. Students work in a variety of community-based organizations, government agencies, and small and large businesses and receive a $2000 stipend for their participation in the program. SOAR interns are degree-seeking LaGuardia students from all majors with a 2.5 GPA and higher and who have completed at least one semester at LaGuardia. Although the majority of students who participate in the SOAR Program do not have substantial internship or work experience, they are ambitious, diligent, and eager to learn.
