Raising family business children is a wonderful experience with many rewards, but it is not always easy. Children who grow up in a family owning a business and may become employees, leaders, owners, stewards, trustees or wealth owners, typically become faced with many complex challenges, unique choices, demands and responsibilities. This session will provide some of the basic understandings of child development, their influences on business-owning families and the potential long-term effects on family businesses. Recognizing ways early on to develop healthy child behaviors, such as a sense of accountability, family values, motivation, respect, responsibility, work ethic, and other characteristics and traits, can help build a stronger, more productive foundation for the family and improved long term prospects for its business's future. Join us for a rich discussion. This workshop is for parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and/or anyone else who has responsibility for or may be eventually raising children whose family owns a business.
