Ms. Fields is a practicing Attorney in New York State with litigation experience (Criminal, Business Immigration, and Contract Law) and now a Cannabis Attorney/Legal Writer /Advisor in Regulatory/Compliance S.E.E.D-Sustainability and Educational Development, and Global Cannabis Business Development/Licensing.

She serves as Special Advisor/Consultant to The Mary Jane Consulting Group and Board Member of the New York Cannabis Industry Association for NYC/Hudson Valley-Co-Chair of the Social Equity and Sustainability Committees. She is the Legal Cannabis Writer for the Queens Caribbean Newspaper, Whereitzat Magazine, and the co-author of several published Cannabis white papers by the New York Cannabis Industry Association.

The Queens Meet Up Group creator, Cannabis Conversations, and Culture (The Business of Cannabis). A proud Trial Attorney and Change Agent, she is committed to Social Justice Reform, Global Social Equity, Inclusion, and Equality.

Her commitment to global activism and empowerment has led her to establish the first school library in Trelawney, Jamaica, where she facilitated the donation of thousands of school supplies. She has volunteered and donated to Kliptown Community Center in Soweto and the Ethembeni Children’s Home (0-3 years old affected by HIV/AIDS) in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Sharron Cannon’s journey into cannabis started in Hollywood in the 80’s during the disco era, while in college. She was part of the party people, who partied from South Central, “The Shaw District,” up to Hollywood’s Sunset Strip and somewhere in-between was “Jewel’s Catch One,’ the first Black disco in the United States and a long-standing Gay Club that broke down cultural barriers honoring the music, fashion, celebrities, and activism.

Together we worked to pass California’s Compassionate Care Act of 1996. It was a love letter to free the flower to be used as a medication to our loved ones who died and/or suffered with wasting syndrome long before the science of the cannabis plant or the naming of the disease we now know as HIV AIDS.

Sharron formerly worked for Curaleaf as an “Outreach Coordinator” when she launched, developed, implemented and advanced cannabis education initiatives to increase cannabis and Curaleaf’s visibility in the regent.
