Please join the Queens Chamber for our new QCIC Student Series. For this webinar, Paul Harrison, the Vice President of JP Morgan Chase, will be joining us as a moderator. He'll go over his career, how he got started, the current landscape of banking, and review how you can get your foot in the door in light of his own personal experiences and incisive knowledge of the business sector.

We'll also be joined by a number of other banking professionals who are uniquely capable of sharing their diverse career histories and pathways into banking. These professionals include Andrew Essick, the executive director of Chase Commercial Term Lending, Michael Kid, Vice President of Chase Commercial Banking, Nicole Stefanakos, associate of Chase Commercial Banking (and an MA in Psychology!), and Santi Wong, Vice President at JP Morgan Private Bank.

Andrew Essick is a Client Manager for Chase Multifamily Lending, the nation’s #1 multifamily lender. He started with JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2014 and has been in the Real Estate Industry since 2009, previously working as an Investment Sales Broker at Massey Knakal Realty Services (now Cushman & Wakefield). Andrew graduated with a Master’s of Science Degree in Real Estate Finance & Investment from New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate in 2014 and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Pace University in 2010. An active member of the NYU Alumni Community, Real Estate Services Alliance (RESA) and the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), Andrew has also volunteered for numerous charitable organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Hope Soup Kitchen, Arts Connection, Carry the Load, Catalog for Giving, Khal Bnei Torah and Street Soccer USA.

Michael Kid is a Commercial Banker with JPMorgan Chase, having held theposition for over six years. In this role, Michael works directly with CEOs andCFOs of Middle Market companies that generate top line revenue of $20mil - $500mil, helping them achieve their growth goals by providing cash management, lending, advisory, liquidity and other financial solutions.

Michael’s responsibilities include maintence of a multi-million dollar portfolio as well as new business acquisition, both areas where he has consistently ranked as a top performer.

Michael previously spent nearly 10 years at HSBC Bank USA acting as Portfolio Manager for the Large Corporate division, performing financial and capital structure analysis of both public and private companies in the $500mil - $5bil space. During this time, Michael was selected to attend the Group Graduate Development Program, a London-based executive management
campus designed to further develop product knowledge, communication and sales skills.

Michael is a member of both the Long Island Association Young Professional and Risk Management Association Young Professional boards, holding the title of Chairman for the later. His experience in the market has resulted in his appointment as a formal mentor for several of JPMorgan Chase’s analysts, interns and junior Bankers.

Michael holds degrees in Economics and Psychology from Binghamton University. He is married with four children and lives on Long Island, NY. During his free time, he enjoys attending his children’s sporting events, playing volleyball, exercise and relaxing at his local beaches.

Santi Wong is a Banker at J.P. Morgan and is responsible for delivering the resources of the Firm to Founders and Executives of Middle Market businesses in New York. She’s been with the Firm for over 10 years. She leads an integrated team of professionals who advise private business owners on pre-transaction guidance (e.g., M&A), executive compensation advisory, tax-advantaged wealth transfer strategies, financial
planning/budgeting, investment management, lending, and business succession planning. Santi specializes in advising clients in the Consumer Products, Food & Beverage and Technology sectors.

Prior to joining the Private Bank in New York, she worked for J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Hong Kong. She was an Investment Marketing Specialist in J.P. Morgan’s Hong Kong office for the Asia region. Ms. Wong started her career at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. with its Corporate Investor Relations team in New York.

Ms. Wong is an active supporter of the Chinese and LGBTQ youth community in New York. She leads and hosts mentorship circles and speaking engagements for students at Columbia University, New York University, and Fordham University. She’s an ally in her local community on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism initiatives with the public education system.

Ms. Wong earned her B.S. in Finance with a minor in Economics from Fordham University. She is a Certified Financial Planner™ and has completed a certificate program in Financial Planning from New York University.

She holds the Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. She resides in New York, but travels often to Asia where her family still resides. Ms. Wong is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and the Fujian dialect.
