The NYC Retrofit Accelerator offers complimentary, personalized advisory services that streamline the process of making energy efficiency improvements to your building that will reduce operating costs, enhance tenant comfort, and improve our environment.
The energy used in New York City's buildings is responsible for nearly three-quarters of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and the vast majority of our existing buildings will still be here in 2050. The City made a commitment to reduce GHG emissions by 80% by 2050 (80x50)—the level that the United Nations projects is needed to avoid the most dangerous effects of climate change.
This program is here to help you boost comfort in your building, control costs, and help fight climate change through energy efficiency. We are already working with over 5,000 buildings across all five boroughs to make it easier to reduce their energy use and GHG emissions.
