Jamie’s knowledge of the Mental Hygiene Law extends to inpatient hospitalization matters as well as consultation and advice regarding discharge planning. In the community setting, she is well-versed in applications for Assisted Outpatient Treatment (Kendra’s Law), a valuable tool for individuals who refuse medication and/or mental health services and are frequently hospitalized. Her practice also includes representation of clients in adult guardianship proceedings (Mental Hygiene Law Article 81), Mental Hygiene Warrant proceedings, and Family Court Order of Protection matters.
