Steve Serrano, owner NYC Cooling Tower Inspections & Services, LLC will discuss how to create an environment that leads to Zero Cooling Tower Compliance, benefit of having a consultant assist your building with Cooling Tower Compliance and 2020 modifications to the NYC Cooling Tower Regulations.

William Xu Vice President at United Construction & Development Group Corp As Vice President, Mr. William Xu oversees all hotel operations, current construction projects, and future pipeline developments. Mr. Xu communicates with project managers, designers, and consultants to complete design and structural features before continuing on to the next step of the development. Mr. Xu joined United Construction and Development Group in 2016 with over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has opened hotel properties and established himself within international brands including Marriott International, Kimpton Hotels, and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. Mr. Xu has combined his hotel expertise and operational skills to produce successful hotel openings and quality management strategies within the United Construction and Development Group.

Juan Santiago Borough of Queens Jurisdictional Manager at National Grid During High School Juan had the unique opportunity to work for the local utility company while earning his High School diploma. After one year of working for the Brooklyn Union Gas Company, a legacy company of National Grid, Juan joined the United States Military. After serving 4 years of active duty, he returned to the company he called home. More than 26 years later, Juan has risen through the ranks to become the Borough of Queens Jurisdictional Manager as part of Community and Customer Engagement team for New York City. Juan has held various positions within National Grid such as: Gas Instructor for Learning and Development and Senior Supervisor overseeing welding operations on Long Island, to name a few. Juan has attended Excelsior College in pursuit of a BA in Business, completed the Dale Carnegie program as well as the Northeast Gas Association Leadership Development curriculum. He recently had the opportunity to aid in the electrical restoration efforts in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in January 2018. He helped to restore over 4000 homes within the 30-day timeframe he was there. Juan resides in Springfield Gardens, Queens with his wife and children. He also serves on numerous boards throughout Queens on behalf of National Grid with the intent of always serving the Borough he lives in.
