Born Melinda Sotomayor in Manhattan of Puerto Rican descendants and raised in Queens since the age of three, Melinda Reyes attended NYC Public Schools. After graduating Jamaica High School in 1983, she attended Cornell University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Communications and minor in Marketing.
Her career started in advertising in media planning department where her responsibilities included planning budgets and buying media for
large corporate clients such as Proctor & Gamble and Seiko watches.
Her career experience also includes selling advertising, marketing and management at record labels and since 2008 her career pivoted to merchant services, when she was recruited to work as a sales executive for Citi Merchant Services, an alliance between Citibank and First Data Merchant Services, the worldwide leader in payment processing.

From that base of knowledge and experience, Melinda Reyes'
entrepreneurial spirit evolved so that she started to work as an individual agent and started Premier Merchant Consulting Services, LLC (PMCS) in 2015. PMCS serves as a resource and consulting agency to assist businesses of all sizes in selecting the right payment processing provider and Point Of Sale hardware/software to manage their business. PMCS works with retail, restaurants, service providers, medical practices and non-profits. Some of the services include creating branded web sites and APPs, and simple marketing tools to help businesses stay connected to their customers and increase their customer base. Examples are loyalty and rewards programs and marketing through social media, email and text message along with online reputation management. PMCS will recommend the best options with a customized solution and personal touch because for them the client comes first.
Mrs Reyes is married with a 12 year old son. Enjoys traveling, camping, live concerts and acting with The Chapel Players of First Reformed Church of College Point.
