Jae-Lyn Hecht Director of Sales and Marketing at Working And Learning Together Electronics Recycling, Inc. Jae-Lyn is the Director of Sales and Marketing at WALTER Electronics Recycling. With a background in technology working for IBM and the Microsoft ecosystem, she has diverse experience around AI, Business Intelligence, Analytics and end to end IT Lifecycle Management. She is passionate about sustainability and the NY community with WALTER being a social business and benefit corporation creating jobs for young adults facing persistent barriers to employment in East NY.

Angelica Mendez Owner at LMG LLC Angelica Mendez was born and raised in Puebla, Mexico. While on a vacation to the US at the age of 8 years old, a trip to the emergency room led to brain surgery. The potential of losing mobility of her body or not surviving at all inspired her to not take life for granted. Angelica contributed to projects of Comité Cívico Mexicano/Mexican Day Parade organization, Master of ceremonies for the Astoria Community Yearly Holiday Celebration events until 2019. Through this she also became a NYS Notary Public and assisted low-income families with their legal documentation and translations. Background, in B2B and B2C account management, paralegal roles and her community non-profit leadership while in college and education in accounting and information analysis has given her the 360-degree perspective of how to overcome complex challenges. She has professional recommendations coming from a former United States foreign service officer and a Sr. intelligence analyst, including organizations, public affairs director, and special counsel etc. Angelica has exposure to the public and private sector, multi-industry exposure (retail, wholesale, luxury, food & beverage, professional services, manufacturing, etc.) and corporate level sizes from domestic to international level. Previously an Account Executive for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Industry and Managed IT. Attended UPS Sales Academy in 2014 and gained the opportunity to work as an inside sales rep before earning a promotion to an Account executive from 2014 to 2021. While at UPS Angelica earned a nomination to become NY Chapter Chair of the UPS Women’s Business Resource Group in 2019 and served as the Chair of the Latino Business Resource group in 2020. She also volunteered at the Women’s Presidents’ Educational Organization as part of the certification committee 2019-2020. Member of the UPS Congressional Awareness Group 2017-2019. She launched a district-wide International Women’s Day event with speakers including UPS VP of Public Affairs, and NYC Dept. of Health & Mental Hygiene Executive Director of Community Affairs. In addition, she planned and hosted Hispanic Heritage Month celebration for the UPS community and coordinated a facility visit by Congresswoman, Nydia Velazquez, in 2017.
