Lynn Schulman grew up in Forest Hills and is a long-time community and LGBTQ activist. With decades of leadership in health care advocacy and progressive causes, Lynn was elected to the City Council because she has a vision for how to bring about the change we need in our Queens communities. An attorney by training, Lynn has devoted her career to public service and held a broad range of executive positions in government, private industry, and the non-profit arena.

In her community, Lynn served as a Vice-Chair on Community Board 6 for more than 20 years. She is also a former member of the 112th Precinct Community Council and the Board of Directors of the Forest Hills Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Lynn served as an appointed member of the Community Education Council for District 28, where she focused on combating school bullying, increasing student access to music and art programs, and enhancing education opportunities for the youth in our city’s public school system.

Julie Menin is a highly accomplished attorney and civic leader with over two decades of experience in both the public and private sectors. She has served as the Commissioner of the Department of Consumer Affairs and Commissioner of Media and Entertainment, and most recently, as the City’s Census Director, leading the successful effort for NYC to finish number one in the census count. Julie has also served as a Columbia adjunct professor teaching on city and state government. As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, Julie is a third-generation New Yorker who lives in Yorkville with her husband and children. Her impressive achievements include increasing consumer restitution, implementing the Paid Sick Leave Law, launching trailblazing legal investigations, and creating new initiatives such as the Earned Income Tax Credit and college savings account program for kindergarteners. Julie has also launched several initiatives to increase gender equity in film, TV, theater, and the music industry. Additionally, she has facilitated the rebuilding of Lower Manhattan after 9/11 and successfully implemented legislation at the city and state level. Julie has received numerous awards and recognitions for her outstanding work, and she serves on the National Advisory Board for Public Service at Harvard University.

Alfred Vitsentzos is the co-owner of Nick’s Bistro, a highly successful Greek restaurant in Forest Hills, Queens, since 2009 and Dylan’s Forest Hills. The neighborhood restaurants have become some of the most popular places to enjoy a variety of occasions including wedding and baby showers, birthdays and graduations and of course the weekly date and family go to restaurants. Alfred has been in the restaurant industry for over fifteen years. His first job was as a food runner at a German restaurant in Long Island. He later advanced to the position of waiter, and then manager. Alfred’s education in finance and his experience working on Wall Street prepared him to oversee the financial responsibilities of Nick’s Bistro. Alfred loves to spend his free time with his wife and two year old son, playing ice hockey, and is a food enthusiast who enjoys exploring restaurants around New York City. Alfred graduated from Fairfield University in 2012 with a major in Finance and a minor in Accounting.
