At a time when the Queens housing market features a vacancy rate below 3% and when 30% of the local population is considered "rent-burdened", the far-reaching Tenant Protection and Housing Stability Act of 2019 sent shock-waves through both the renter population and the real estate industry.

Queens Chamber Real Estate committee has assembled a panel with expertise in this area to discuss the ramifications of this legislation for the Queens housing market and for the larger Queens community, including the positive impacts and potential consequences for the development of new affordable housing . Our discussion will break through the noise of politics and industry rhetoric in order to focus on best practices for owners, the economics of operating rental housing, and what it will take to house the growing population of the City's largest and most diverse borough.
