Jamie A Rosen Partner and Chair of the Mental Health Law Group at Meister Seelig & Fein PLLC Jamie Rosen is a Partner and Chair of the Mental Health Law Group at Meister Seelig & Fein PLLC, dedicated to representing individuals and families in crisis situations specific to mental health issues and/or alcohol/substance use disorders. She guides clients through the complex and intertwined legal and clinical systems to maximize the legal resources available. Jamie’s knowledge of the Mental Hygiene Law extends to inpatient hospitalization matters as well as consultation and advice regarding discharge planning. In the community setting, she is well-versed in applications for Assisted Outpatient Treatment (Kendra’s Law), a valuable tool for individuals who refuse medication and/or mental health services and are frequently hospitalized. Her practice also includes representation of clients in adult guardianship proceedings (Mental Hygiene Law Article 81), Mental Hygiene Warrant proceedings, and Family Court Order of Protection matters. Recognizing that these complicated mental health issues require a team approach, Jamie collaborates with medical and mental health professionals to develop the best clinical plan and legal course of action. She has experience deploying such resources and advocating for clients across the country. Jamie is also a member of the Firm’s Taxation & Estates and Litigation Groups. The practice encompasses all aspects of estate planning, including wills, trusts, health care proxies and powers of attorney, probate and administration matters, and related disputes in Surrogate’s Court. Jamie was selected by Long Island Business News “40 Under Forty” in 2023. She was featured in LIBN’s January 11, 2024 article, “Mental Health Attorneys Address Growing Need for Services on Long Island”. Jamie has co-authored articles that are published in professional journals and newspapers across the country. She is also a frequent lecturer on various mental health issues, guardianship matters and related topics. Jamie received her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University with a Concentration in Child and Family Advocacy. She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.

Ken uses his lived experience in Recovery to council and motivate Patients towards wellness. Ken won Northwell Health’s President’s Award for life changing difference in 2022.

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Brooklyn, she pursued her education at Fordham University and Columbia University, earning her B.A. in Psychology and her Master's in Social Work and Public Administration, respectively. Holding both Master's and Clinical licenses, her work has ranged from direct-care practice, consulting services, teaching to managerial experience. Outside of her working hours at EHS, Ms. Rosario has a small private practice where she provides psychotherapy services to adults. Ms. Rosario enjoys reading, traveling and cherishing moments with her family, including spending quality time with her 5 and 7 year old boys.
