It Starts With a Hero: The Facts About Organ, Eye, and Tissue Donation for Donor Hero Appreciation Week

LiveOnNY save lives, provide comfort, and strengthen legacies through organ, eye, and tissue donation. We operate in Greater New York City, Long Island, Westchester and the Lower Hudson Valley and work with 11 transplant centers and nearly 100 hospitals to serve a population of 13 million residents. In honor of Donor Hero Appreciation Week, where we highlight the stories of organ donor heroes who have left a legacy through the gift of life, we will be presenting on the stories of donor heroes, the need for donation, how one becomes a donor and gets on the transplant waiting list, and dispelling myths and misconceptions related to organ donation.
