Larry S. Grubler, Psy.D. is the Chief Executive Officer of Transitional Services for New York, Inc. (TSINY), a comprehensive, not-for-profit mental health organization headquartered in Whitestone, New York.

In 1981, Dr. Grubler began his career working with individuals with mental illness as a counselor in a day program operated by Mercy Hospital and Medical Center. After four years of providing direct clinical services on both an outpatient and inpatient basis, Dr. Grubler began working as an administrator of mental health programs, both overseeing programs and developing new initiatives. In the late 1980's, he worked under both Mayors Koch and Dinkins as a Senior Consultant for the New York City Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Alcoholism Services and gained a good understanding of community participation in program development and public funding. In 1992, Dr. Grubler was hired as TSINY's Associate Director of Residential Services. At the time, TSINY had 189 beds for individuals over the age of 18 who had a primary psychiatric diagnosis.

Today, the residential programs have over 700 beds with expansions planned for Queens and the Lower Hudson Valley Region of New York. He was appointed CEO in March of 2007 and has expanded under his leadership to a corporation with a budget of 30 million dollars, servicing over 4,000 people per year. The Agency maintains a host of outpatient services, such as a clinic, a day program, and outreach and vocational services, as well as an affirmative business.

Dr. Grubler believes that the rehabilitation services that are provided by the staff of TSINY are so unique and the Agency mission and vision that he helped establish are so important that the services should be expanded to other parts of New York initially and, ultimately, throughout the United States.

Dr. Grubler is a Queens native, having been born and raised in Far Rockaway, New York. He resides in Bayside with his wife, Bonnie Arquilla. He received a Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton, a Master's degree from St. John's University in General and Experimental Psychology and a Doctorate in Psychology from Southern California University for Professional Studies.

Dennis Ast has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and risk management industry. Prior to joining OneGroup, Dennis spent significant time working for a national insurance carrier. He served in various claims positions including adjuster, senior adjuster and supervisor before progressing to service manager. There, he was responsible for account service management on national accounts. Dennis was promoted to account executive and again to account manager with complete responsibility for national accounts, including retention, relationship development, service, risk management and helping clients succeed.

Dennis was hired by OneGroup in 2017 as a senior account executive. He was uniquely qualified for this position due to his years of experience in servicing large commercial clients and his enthusiasm for continuously expanding his knowledge. Dennis actively seeks opportunities to help his clients reduce their overall cost of risk by developing a deep understanding of their business and risk management needs. He has become an expert resource for cyber insurance, among other topics, for both OneGroup’s staff and clients.

Dennis graduated from the State University College at Buffalo with a bachelor of science in mathematics. He obtained his Certified Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Designation and earned his master's degree from Boston University in Insurance Management. Dennis earned his Property and Casualty license in nearly half of the states in the country, and completed Chubb and Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy’s Cyber COPE Insurance Certification SM for his CCIC designation.

Josephine Bottitta has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, employee benefits, risk management and insurance. Her diverse experience includes personal injury litigation through a private legal practice. She directed all aspects of a general/professional liability off-shore insurance captive, and oversaw risk management in a workers’ compensation insurance program.

Josephine also served as director of human resources for an 800-employee NYC company. There, she was responsible for employee benefit plan design and administration, including employee relations and communications, and the creation/maintenance of the current HR policy manual and employee handbook. She was responsible for training managers and supervisors on topics like FMLA, ADA, sexual and non-harassment policies, neglect and mistreatment, resident abuse, and workplace violence.

Josephine has also provided related consulting services to individual companies both small and large. As a consultant, she has held leadership and management training courses on employment relations topics like FMLA, ADA, workplace violence, wage and hour, EEOC charges, contract management, as well as disciplinary policy, practices and documentation.

Josephine is highly respected in her profession and has presented at various educational seminars including for the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) and the New York State Health Facilities Association (NYSHFA). We are pleased to share that Josephine was the 2014 recipient of the ACHCA President's Award recognizing her commitment to her profession. In 2018, Josephine graduated from Molloy College’s Energeia Program – a two-year program to train proven leaders to address the region’s most complex issues.
