Nadir A. Jones currently serves as Manager for the New York State Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Small Business Development Program. Within this role, he is responsible for managing the Nation’s first Federal regional Small Business Development Program.
Nadir has over 18 years of experience in the Transportation Infrastructure, Construction, and Civil Rights Industries which includes extensive knowledge USDOT DBE policies and regulations (49 CFR Part 26) regarding contract compliance, commercial useful function, and DBE Certification. This also includes applying contract goals on State and Federal projects for small business development..
Nadir has worked for 4 of the top 10 largest State Transportation Agencies within the United States (NJ Transit, The Port Authority of New York/New Jersey, Washington D.C. Metropolitan Transportation Authority, including the New York MTA) and also the 14th largest Construction Management firm in the United States (Bovis Lend Lease, Inc.)
During the course of his career Nadir has managed over 2.5 billion dollars in Public and Private commercial assets within the transportation infrastructure industry. These assets include the Hudson Bergen Light Rail System (1.4 billion), and The Queens Family Courthouse Residential Development (200 million).
