The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is one of the 12 Federal Reserve Banks of the United States . It is responsible for the Second District of the Federal Reserve System , which encompasses the State of New York , the 12 northern counties of New Jersey , Fairfield County in Connecticut , Puerto Rico , and the U.S. Virgin Islands . Located at 33 Liberty Street in Lower Manhattan , it is the largest (by assets), the most active (by volume), and the most influential of the Reserve Banks.

Thomas J. Grech President/CEO of Queens Chamber of Commerce Tom’s career has spanned the printing and publishing industries over the past 25 years with RR Donnelley & Sons Company, Merrill Corporation and SONY DADC. For the past five years, he has been involved in the energy industry. Most recently, Tom was Director of Sales for CCI Energy Solutions, Inc. His other interests include investing in multi-family real estate, adviser to non-profit and for-profit boards. Originally from Astoria, Tom lives in Malverne, NY with his wife and their daughter and son. He is a graduate of the University of Scranton, Scranton, PA with a BS in Accounting and received his MBA in International Business from Manhattan College, Riverdale, NY. He has served as President & CEO of Queens Chamber of Commerce since July of 2015.

John C. Williams President at Federal Reserve Bank of New York John C. Williams is the president and chief executive officer of the New York Fed. In that capacity, he serves as the vice chair and a permanent voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee. Before joining the New York Fed in 2018, Mr. Williams was the president and CEO of the San Francisco Fed, which he first joined in 2002 and subsequently served as research director. He began his career as an economist at the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors, and he has also served in roles at the White House Council of Economic Advisers and Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
